Exposure: Japan-Japonismes, objects inspired 1867-2018

The Museum of Decorative Arts celebrates the strong moments of the history of Japan, since the end of the 19th century, through a presentation of Japonismes 2018, the hearts in resonance.
This event which pays homage to Japan, makes it possible to admire nearly 1400 works of art of a large variety in a scenography deployed on three levels and presented in five topics:

them actors of the discovery, through the World Fairs of Paris windows of the occidentalized countries, offering special occasions to present to the visitors knowhow Japanese art. The exchanges with the occident appear with the advent of the era of Meiji (18681912), period which symbolizes the beginning of a device of modernization of Japan.

 The innovation, in Japanese art makes it possible to discover ceramics novel methods, lacquers or alloys, according to the way in which the craftsman and the artist think and imagine his trade.
it natural, with the bamboo, water lily, butterfly, peacock, the floral one, the plant are inexhaustible principles of inspiration for the creation of objects and textiles which appear in the fashion by reasons and cuts flat like the kimonos.
