Hungarian the Prime Minister removes the tax with life with the women who have four children or more
Hungarian the Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, announced in his annual speech Sunday, a “Action plan for the protection of the family” in seven points, intended to promote the marriage and the family.
These last years, Viktor Orban tried various measurements to stop this decline. He offered the exemption from payment of the university expenses for the people who commit themselves not emigrating of Hungary, he also granted nationality to the nationals of the Hungarian minorities of the countries bordering (Romania, Slovakia, Serbia…). Without real success. He thus proposed Sunday new provisions in favour of the large families.
Announced measurements understood exemptions of the income tax of the natural people for the women who raise at least four children for the rest of their life and of the subsidies for the large families which want to buy larger cars. The “action plan” also extended a program of loans to help the families having at least two children to buy a house. Any woman of less than 40 years will also be entitled to a preferential loan at the time of its first marriage.
A woman of less than 30 years which Marie for the first time could borrow 30,000 euros. A third of the debt would be deleted with the birth of the second child, and integrality with the birth of the third.
“The Secretary of State stressed that the Hungarian government did not want to solve the problem of the Hungarian population by the migration, as several European countries do it, but by supporting the Hungarian families which raise children and the young people who create a family”.
The government of Viktor Orban puts forward a whole series of concrete measures, which go from free loans for the installation of the young couples to the introduction of a device which would be connected with maternal wages – “recognition of a true maternity full–time” for those which raise at least four children – or with the exemption with life of the income tax for the mothers of three children and more which would continue to work.
The demographic difficulties of Hungary are real. Its total population does not cease dropping since the years 1980, under the combined effect of a many emigration; the country lost in ten years a half–million credits left to work in Western Europe; and of a very weak birthrate; 1.49 child by woman in 2015, one of the indices of fertility low of OECD. One needs 2.1 children per woman to renew the generations. The Prime Minister was satisfied to address to the women, making take on their only shoulders the responsibility for a rise of the birthrate.
The government also declared that he will spend more for the Hungarian health care system and that he will create 21,000 places in crib. Moreover, the grandparents will be acceptable with expenses of child care if they deal with young children instead of their parents, announced Orban.
The demographic decline of the population, started at the beginning of the years 1980, is severe there. For 131,900 deaths declared in 2017, only 94,600 births were recorded, marking a difference of 37,000 people. The government set up since 2010 a political volunteer to start again the births, but the decline was not slowed down.
“There are less and less newborns in Europe. For the West, the answer (with this challenge) is immigration. For each missing child, one should make some come one and then the figures will be good”, Mr. Orban declared, according to Reuters. “But we do not need good figures. We need Hungarian children”, he said by announcing the program of incentive.
