One day of interprofessional mobilization this Thursday, a social strain with a national mobilization

Whereas the days of action and the strikes multiply CGT and Solidaires organize this Thursday, April 19 of the interprofessional demonstrations everywhere in France. Review of the branches of industry concerned and the claims.

Vis–a–vis the Macron reforms, the trade unions try one day of interprofessional mobilization this Thursday

At the time one day of mobilization as interprofessional as possible, two French trade unions, whose powerful CGT, try Thursday to draw up a common front against the overall reforms of president Emmanuel Macron.

The railwaymen, the civils servant, medical staffs of Ehpad, the students… CGT and Solidaires call this Thursday with a national mobilization and interprofessional under the watchword “Convergence of the fights!” Several demonstrations are staged in France, in Poitou, the English Channel, Loiret or in Auvergne for example. The Parisian procession will leave Montparnasse at 14:00 for the place of Italy.

Thursday, at the time one day of “national mobilization”, they announce 130 demonstrations in all France, which will come to be added to the social strain which has continued already for several weeks.

The rail transports are thus largely disturbed since the beginning of April, with two days of strike every five days, with the SNCF. The French railway operator is shaken by a protest movement against the reform of the rail. This one in particular intends to put an end to the advantageous statute railwaymen, including, inter alia, the use with life.

To support their colleagues railwaymen who fight against the reform of the SNCF, but also against the problems of manpower and the prospect for a privatization for the RATP, four trade unions of the transport company jointly Parisian invite with the strike.

The CGT–RATP had given strike notice of the Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 22:00 at the Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 7:00. This Thursday, the traffic of the subways, bus and trams remains normal in Ile–de–France. The lines of the RER on the other hand are touched. On the line A, 1 train out of 2 will circulate on the branches Cergy/Poissy and 3 trains out of 4 are envisaged on the rest of the line. The RATP Finally envisages 1 train out of 2 on the line B. for the lines C, D and E, it will be necessary to count on 1 train out of 3.

CGT Mine–energy invites its gas members, electricians and, to come to enlarge the processions of the railwaymen and to conduct various actions. The trade union in particular envisages “swings of full hours in off–peak hours in the big cities, the re–establishment of energy for the families victims the unpaid ones and falls of load in the power stations of electrical production.”

The power station also hopes to cut off the power in the companies “which lay off” or “the strikes criminalize”. The Crossroads group is more particularly aimed. Notice given strike by CGT Mine–energy extends until June 28th.

The civils servant, who prepare a second day of united mobilization on May 22nd after that of October 10th, also have to join the national mobilization for the defense of their statute and purchasing power to them.

Disengagings are also envisaged with the Post office, and in the audio–visual public (France Televisions, Radio France).

CGT Early childhood also gave strike notice for this Thursday in Paris. The movement affects also certain cribs and schools, where the reception of the children will not be always assured. The specialized territorial agents of the nursery schools (ATSEM) are also called with the strike. In Amiens, five of the 56 school canteens will be closed.

The employees of Air France observed Tuesday and Wednesday their eighth and ninth days of strike since February. The trade unions which claimed 6% of pay rise initially brought back their claim to 5.1% Monday. The airline company proposed Monday evening a final draft agreement envisaging an increase of 2% immediately and a rise of 5% over three years. The proposal is submitted to signature until Friday the 12th h00.

Student National coordination and the Union of the Communist Students call the students opposed to law ORE (Orientation and success of the students), shown to found the “selection” at the entry at the university, to join the staged demonstrations this Thursday. This Wednesday, four universities out of approximately 70 were always completely blocked.

CGT seems here to play its go–all in the success of “convergence”, so much the government refuses for the moment to yield, and whereas the number of strikers to the SNCF starts to move back compared to the beginning of the movement.
