The International Association of Youth for Peace (IPYG France) brought together associations acting for peace

On October 26th, the International Association of Youth for Peace met in Paris for a Forum entitled “Peace and Me”.

The Trans-Saharan, humanitarian association of the ISEP (Higher Institute of Electronics of Paris) participated in the first edition of this Forum. She had the opportunity to present her actions during a talk show and to discuss many topics related to education with participants, UNESCO diplomats, press and humanitarian associations.

The Trans-Saharan mission is to help the poorest people in France as well as children from isolated villages in Morocco.

Every year, for 20 years, a trip of one week, partly financed by the School, allows about thirty engineering students to meet a dozen local associations to bring school supplies, computers, clothing and toys. About 1000 children are beneficiaries.

Amin and Reda, ISEP students, had met IPYG youth a few weeks ago during a March for Peace. It was on this occasion that their association, engaged in humanitarian and solidarity actions working for peace, was invited to participate in this Forum.

Also present at this meeting:
– the “World Solidarity New” Association, with Zozo-Flore, president-founder, who created a cooperative to repair and resell electronic equipment to help third world countries;
– the Rosa Parks International Foundation, with Coulibaly Oumar whose action is to fight against the poverty and social injustice faced by street children and orphans in Mali and to promote access to the culture of the families of the city of Juvisy-sur-Orge;
– The Young Farmers Association of Boundou, whose president is Mamdou Dembélé, who helps a municipality of Mali in agriculture, education and health to avoid the mass exodus of young people to cities and Europe ;
– the Korea Arts and Culture Sarang Association, which works to promote intercultural exchanges between France and South Korea and to promote the values and cultural richness of these two countries.

All participating actors have engaged in solidarity and sustainable approaches, at the economic, cultural and social levels.

Their actions contribute to peace in the world as well as efforts to maintain it wherever possible.
