The association “Les Ateliers d’Artistes de Belleville” (Les AAB) is at the origin of this annual event which aims to make art accessible to all and also to discover secret and hidden places in the neighborhood, old buildings, picturesque cobbled streets, bucolic gardens, which have escaped demolition.

In the 90s, the artists of Belleville joined forces with the inhabitants for the preservation of their popular district of art and activities.

Faced with the appetite of real estate developers, they have managed to save their places of creation and the charm of small havens of peace in the heart of the capital.

The “Resistances” exhibition illustrates the stages of the struggles that have been carried out to achieve this.

Unusual, intimate exhibition spaces, inventive, enthusiastic hosts who share their passions and invite people to create …
35,000 visitors are expected who will also be able to attend performances, shows, concerts and street art demonstrations.

A beautiful weekend in perspective to dream and stroll through the steep streets and green passages, all around the beautiful park of Belleville overlooking Paris on a par with the nearby Butte Montmartre and the Buttes Chaumont.
